What is the Comfort Exchange Guarantee?
If you are dissatisfied with your mattress during the BedCare™ 3 month exchange period, you can return it to the original retailer and receive a replacement mattress of equal value, as long as the original mattress was not damaged. Your Protect-A-Bed® Mattress Protector must be on your mattress at all times. Please note that you are responsible for all pick-up and delivery charges.
What is the BedCare™ Limited Warranty?
The BedCare™ Limited Warranty protects your mattress against stains for a period of 10 years, against odours for 3 years, and against rips/tears/punctures/burns for a period of 3 years.
How do the BedCare™ Limited Warranty and the Comfort Exchange Guarantee relate to my Mattress Protector?
Your Mattress Protector serves two important functions. It is a vital health care product that protects you against allergens, such as dust mites. As well, it protects your mattress from stains and accidental damage. The BedCare™ Limited Warranty includes the Comfort Exchange Guarantee. As long as your Mattress Protector is in place, your mattress will be protected for the duration of the warranty term (10 year stain protection, 3 year odour protection, 3 year rips/tears/burns protection, 90 day comfort exchange guarantee).
Does the Mattress Protector need to be in place to guarantee coverage?
Yes. You are only eligible for benefits under the warranty if the Mattress Protector is on the mattress; otherwise, you will lose all coverage benefits.
What is covered under the BedCare™ Limited Warranty?
The warranty covers the costs of cleaning your mattress in your own home, or having the mattress repaired. Should the stain persist or should the mattress be un-repairable, the warranty will cover the exchange of the mattress for another mattress of like kind and quality.
Where can I exchange my mattress?
All exchanges must be made through the store/retailer where you originally purchased your mattress.
What is the difference between the manufacturer’s warranty and the BedCare™ Limited Warranty?
The manufacturer’s warranty is valid from the date of purchase for a specific period of time, and after this period has passed, the manufacturer is no longer responsible for your mattress. Also, the manufacturer’s warranty typically covers defects in your product. The BedCare™ Warranty also covers your mattress from the date of purchase for a specified period, but it includes accidental damage to your mattress, not defects.
What happens in case of a problem?
You must call 1-800 663-1708 and request assistance from the BedCare™ Plan Administrator. The Plan Administrator will provide information to assist you in cleaning the stain on the affected area. If the stain or damage cannot be corrected at this stage, the Administrator will send a repair/cleaning technician to your home. Once the technician has assessed the situation, he will advise the Administrator of the costs of repair. The Administrator will then authorize a repair/cleaning or a mattress replacement. All service costs are covered by the Administrator, except for the costs of picking up the damaged mattress and the delivery of the replacement.
Are there any deductibles?
No. You are not responsible for any warrantable service costs or deductibles while you are covered under the warranty.
Is the plan renewable?
No. The plan is not renewable.
What is secondary coverage?
Secondary coverage means that the BedCare™ Limited Warranty is secondary to any other warranty offered on your mattress. Should the manufacturer or dealer offer a warranty, their warranty will always be the primary one. The BedCare™ Limited Warranty offers additional benefits over and above those offered by the primary warranty.
